Hotel Rottnest Port to Pub 2017

Olympian Libby Trickett is diving in to make a difference for R U OK? at the Port to Pub, Australia’s longest open water swim. She’ll be taking part in the event to inspire more life-changing conversations.

Libby says, “Having directly seen the impact of mental health - both within my family and also within myself - I know how important it is to stay connected with my loved ones. The concept of R U OK? is so simple. Ask the question of your friends, family, colleagues or team mates and listen to the answer. It means that you can be plugged in to those closest to you, making sure they are coping with life's challenges. I love that something so simple can make such a huge impact. That’s why i'll be taking part in this swim and asking for your support.”

Show your support for Libby and her team for R U OK? by making a secure online donation. Every dollar raised will help R U OK? reach more Australians and:

  • develop new programs and expand their work to reach more workplaces, schools and clubs

  • expand their Ambassador training program to teach people to inspire more life saving conversations around Australia

  • To conduct more academic research and evaluations to improve our free resources

R U OK?’s vision is a world where all people are connected and are protected from suicide. Their mission is to inspire and empower everyone to meaningfully connect with people around them and support anyone struggling with life. They do this by giving people the skills, courage and motivation to navigate a conversation with someone they’re worried about.
